"We'd get a new kid in school and I'd wait for them to come introduce themselves to me. This year all the new kids in our grade, as soon as I realized I didn't recognize them I'd be like 'oh hey my name is Caleb what's your name?' I didn't used to do that stuff."

In the previous game Baird was injured when a helmet collided with his knee taking him out of the game. He was lucky to have only injured his medial collateral ligament and not his meniscus and anterior cruciate Ligament. Due to the limited injury he will only spend 6-8 weeks in a brace instead of major surgery but still had to sit on the sidelines for the Jayhawks final game.
