Earlier this summer, I started thinking about the amazing amount of nature that exists on our lot. I wanted to start documenting it in a somewhat systematic way, creating a sort of inventory of the biodiversity around our house. I thought this could be a fun project for Campbell to help out with.
Georgia works with an entomologist at the nature lab who came over to do some bug collecting in our yard with a mercury vapor bulb and a pop-up white screen. I thought it would be a great time to drag out some strobes and the macro lens to add to our biodiversity inventory.
A good time was had by all.
While we found a number of bugs, I only made some nice images of a few that Ben pointed out as particularly cool, or I just through looked interesting.
We all learned a lot and had a great time. Thanks, Ben!
