Brown Match Day 2022

I’ve worked at Brown for over six years now, but making images during match day has always eluded me. Not this year. I had the opportunity to make some images at the first in person match day since the pandemic began. It’s an interesting marker, because it was the first big event that the medical school canceled back in 2020, as the pandemic took hold.

The family of Sachit Singal was ecstatic over his match with Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s internal medicine residency program. His goal is to specialize in cardiology, like his sister (far right), Dr. Sanchita Singal Parulkar, who graduated from Brown in 2013 and received her M.D. from the Warren Alpert Medical School in 2017.

My colleague Corrie Pikul, Senior Writer for the Life Sciences here at Brown, wrote a lovely piece about the experience.

So many smiling faces, so much cheering, crying, hugging and overall emotional being shown. What an experience for these future medical professionals.
